Can I ship this?

Check whether a documented requirements set exists for your seafood species and destination, backed by Fernable's trade requirements engine. Free, no login.

Covers Australian seafood exports to Japan, China and Hong Kong today, the same corridors as the tariff calculator. More origins, destinations and commodities are added as they are researched and verified.

Advisory only, drawn from Fernable's trade requirements engine. This tells you what is documented, not whether your specific shipment is compliant. Always confirm current requirements with the destination authority or your broker before shipping.

FAQ

Ship-check FAQ

What does 'requirements documented' mean?

It means Fernable's trade requirements engine has a researched rule set for that species and destination: which certificates, endorsements, attestations or other conditions typically apply. It is a starting checklist, not a compliance verdict on your shipment.

Why does it say not yet documented for some combinations?

The requirements engine is built corridor by corridor, verified against primary sources before it ships. A 'not yet documented' result means that specific species/destination pair has not been researched here yet, not that there are no requirements at all.

Is this the same as customs clearance?

No. This checks documented regulatory and commercial-document requirements for the export side. Customs clearance, permits and any import-side requirements at the destination are separate and are not covered here.

What should I do if there is a prohibition?

Stop and confirm directly with the destination country's regulatory authority before proceeding. A prohibition means the species, or a form of it, is currently barred from that destination in Fernable's records; do not rely on this tool alone for that decision.
