Organic soybean meal from India faces a preliminary 26.60% antidumping rate

India is the principal source of certified organic soybean meal feeding US organic poultry, egg and dairy production, and a new preliminary US antidumping rate against it — 26.60% — is nearly nine times the rate currently in force.

Fakta utama

  • Commerce preliminarily calculated a 26.60% weighted-average dumping margin for Ecopure Specialities and assigned the same rate to non-selected companies under review.
  • The current all-others rate from the original investigation, 3.07%, stays in force until final results publish — nothing changes at the border yet.
  • 145 companies had their review rescinded after timely withdrawal of review requests; their entries assess at the cash-deposit rate in force at time of entry.

The numbers, and what's actually changing today

Commerce published preliminary results of its antidumping duty administrative review on organic soybean meal from India on 13 August 2026, covering the period 1 May 2024 to 30 April 2025. It preliminarily calculated a 26.60% weighted-average dumping margin for Ecopure Specialities Ltd. and assigned the same 26.60% to companies under review that weren't individually examined. Commerce rescinded the review for 145 companies listed in a separate appendix after timely withdrawal of their review requests; those entries assess at whatever cash-deposit rate was required at the time of entry, unaffected by this determination.

Critically, these are preliminary results: cash deposits do not change today. The current all-others rate from the original investigation, 3.07%, stays in force, and a new deposit rate only applies to shipments entered on or after the final results publish.

Mengapa ini penting

The gap between 26.60% and the current 3.07% all-others rate is the number to watch: buyers on the non-selected list are looking at a roughly eightfold increase if the preliminary rate holds at final. Nothing changes at the border yet, which makes the window before final results the time to requalify suppliers, check whether your exporter sits in the rescinded 145-company group, and price forward contracts against the higher rate as a real scenario rather than a surprise.
