What is a UN/LOCODE?
UN/LOCODE is the United Nations' standard 5-letter code for ports and other trade locations: the first 2 letters are the ISO country code, the last 3 identify the location. Sydney is AUSYD, Singapore is SGSIN. It is used on bills of lading, customs declarations and booking systems worldwide.
Is this the full UN/LOCODE list?
No. The full UNECE registry has well over 100,000 entries covering inland rail depots, river ports and minor locations. This tool is a curated shortlist of major sea ports for agri-food trade lanes, so you can find the port you actually need quickly.
What does the reefer badge mean?
